i have no songkick files on my computer, but when i open itunes a songkick error pops up saying “your username and password are incorrect. please go to view>visualizer>options after selecting the songkick plug-in”. it wont let me select ok which freezes itunes and is very frustrating. how can i remove this from my computer

I’ve emptied that folder, but still keep getting the prompt to download the new version. Please help.

Hi Jake, I’m really sorry you’re having trouble with the plug-in. Is it constantly asking you to update or scan your library? Any input would be helpful, so we can make it better. Here are instructions on how to remove it:

For Windows

Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs, and choose the Songkicker

For Mac:

Close iTunes, then delete the “iTunesSongkickPlugin.bundle” file. Depending on your version of iTunes, it can be in either of two places:
Library > iTunes > iTunes Plug-ins
user > Library > iTunes > iTunes Plug-ins

not sure if my library is too bog for songkicker, but this app has crippled my itunes. i get nothing but spinning beach balls and cursing now.

it isn’t in my itunes plugins either but it constantly pesters me.

how, oh how do i get rid of this?!?!?!?!

Hi Rene, I’m sorry that you want to uninstall! Do you mind me asking what didn’t work for you? We’re working on a new version of the Songkicker right now, so if you have any feedback or suggestions for us to make it better, we would love to hear them. To uninstall the Mac Songkicker, close iTunes then delete the “iTunesSongkickPlugin.bundle”. That could be in either of two places:
/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/ or user/Library/iTunes/iTunes Plug-ins/. If you have any problems or questions, email us at support AT songkick DOT com!

Oh! And I wanted to let you know we don’t have a preferential deal with a ticket reseller! We’re just as adamant as you about getting reasonably priced tickets before they sell out.

sfs, thanks for letting us know we let you down. We’re really obsessed with getting comprehensive concert listings. We’ve built web crawlers that go out onto ticket vendor websites to create our database, but sometimes there are holes in our information, and we get better and better because people like you point out where we’re failing. If you tell me which show was missing, I’ll investigate why we didn’t get the primary inventory first. Feel free to email me at support AT songkick DOT com. You’ve sent me an update for a concert I’d like to see, but once again, sent it at the last minute. Yes, I’d like to see Nick Cave, but this show is next weekend! I might be able to get tickets, but at this point I’ve made other plans, and if I wanted to go and there weren’t tickets, I’d have to purchase them from a scalper or “reseller” at exorbitant prices.
This service isn’t useful if you don’t alert people in time to buy reasonably priced tickets to the shows, unless Songkicker has a deal with some ticket reseller, in which case I want nothing to do with it.
Seriously, get it together or tell me how to unsubscribe. I can find out which shows are playing locally from a blog. If you want to give people a service that they wouldn’t be able to get otherwise, you have to offer quality. Also, stop sending me updates for bands I don’t like and don’t have on my Itunes list.

If you sign into your user dashboard and click on “Tour Tracker”, you should be able to see the artists that have been uploaded from your library. If you email support AT songkick DOT com, we can give you more detailed help.
