Tour name: The 4onthefloor + Derek Evry + Norman Rockwell
Tuesday May 8, 2012 at 8:00pm
The 4onthefloor deliver stompin' blues at an alarming intensity. 4onthefloor was born in the bottom of a bourbon bottle with the idea that it's effing time to have some fun and make amazing music as well. Audiences immediately took to the infectious driving feel of not one, but four bass drums pulsing to the beat of the songs. The music is inspired by the gutsy stomp of the Delta Blues and the hoe-downs from America's past and present. While 4onthefloor prides themselves on their original songs, they also love putting their signature stomp on covers from the likes of Wilco to Tom Jones. This makes 4onthefloor one of the most entertaining bands on the Midwest music scene today, and the world tomorrow. Inspired by The Doors, Muddy Waters, CCR, Howlin' Wolf, Tommy James & the Shondells and Waylon Jennings to name a few, all four members operate on the same hard-hitting, bourbon-infused wavelength while keeping perfect time.
Derek Evry is an Alternative/Pop/Rock songwriter from Arlington, Virginia. Derek has been writing and performing original music since 1999. Derek is an avid Vegan, Atheist, & hates sports. On Monday, October 25, 2010, Derek's song "Without You" was featured in the opening scene of ABC Television's hit crime drama "Castle". In the scene, a girl walks alone in NYC at night. Is she being followed? "Without You" is on Derek's debut album "Don't Think..." and you can check out the song on ABC's Music Lounge. Derek is currently preparing for the release of his third studio album, "Here's To Better Misery", which is due out in May 2012.
Norman Rockwell is a group based from used car garages, open mic nights, late night epiphanies, instant gratification, make'a'livin jobs, and a desire for clean tone.
