Over the course of his extraordinary career performing alongside legends such as Charlie Parker, Stan Getz, Wes Montgomery, and Joe Henderson, Claude Black has come to epitomize the meaning of “Jazz Master.” From his role as touring pianist for Aretha Franklin in the 1960’s, to his position as house pianist for the landmark Toledo jazz club Murphy's Place, Claude Black’s many achievements in jazz have inspired a generation of young musicians and professionals alike.
