Ricardo Gallo in “Tierra de Nadie” performs music conceived as a sort of imaginary musical folklore, a “No man’s land” which is the intriguing basis for exploratory improvisations. The compositions picture a landscape devoid of flags, providing space for the musical personalities of the players. Its debut recording “The Great Fine Line” was released on November 2010 by Clean Feed Records. The personel in the recording, as well as for this concert consists of a stellar line up: Mark Helias on bass, Ray Anderson on trombone, Dan Blake on saxophones, Pheeroan akLaff on drums, Satoshi Takeishi on percussion, and Ricardo Gallo on piano and compositions. For this concert the band will bring new music as well as selections from their debut album in electrifying and unexpected renditions.
