We are very excited to announce that Hillydilly.com & Perryscope Concerts will be bringing the Washington, DC emcee Oddisee to BC in November for shows in Vancouver and Whistler.
Oddisee is fresh off the release of his debut album, People Hear What They See, that will easily go down as one of the best hip-hop releases in 2012. The motivation to bring Oddisee to BC was an easy decision when you hear just how good the album is. While Oddisee has been making music since 2004, it wasn’t until June of this year that he finally released this debut album. So with the release of this album Oddisee has now been able to tour more extensively off the strength of it
The opening support for this show will be Seattle’s three piece hip-hop group, Knowmads. Check out some of their music below.
I would also like to take this moment introduce you to Perryscope Concerts. They will be partnering up with Hillydilly.com on all of our shows moving forward. This partnership will allow us to take on more shows and bigger projects. Perryscope is a relatively new company that is headed up by former Live Nation Western Canada President, Dave Fortune. The desire to take the concert experience back into the hands of the fan has promted Dave to branch out from Live Nation to create his own company that wants to keep ticket prices low and the fans happy. It is with this outlook that Hillydilly.com 100% agrees upon and has us very excited for the future.
Advance tickets for both shows are 12$ and will go on sale at 10AM Friday, August 31st.
Hard copy tickets will be available through record shop retail outlets — Zulu Records, Redcat Records & Beatstreet Records.
