"The gig was delayed by a day, cancelled due to a power cut on the Monday; gutted! I managed to stay over in Islington and saw the slightly shortened set, but a VERY special person had an early flight in the morning so missed this simply wonderful gig.

The support, Kill It Kid were loud, bang on and brilliant, even if cut short to let BCB on earlier than expected, as with the cancellation they had a back-to-back in Lucerne, Switzerland!

The atmosphere was excellent, the whole place bubbling with an expectant air as we walked in. When Brandi & the guys started the atmosphere changed up a gear to 'electric'

Brandi Carlile's voice filled the place and we were treated to some of the finest performances of their songs for a long time (bar none) and belive me I've seen/heard hundreds.

If you're not sure if you like BCB, download 'The Story', then in October do the same with the new album 'Give Up The Ghost', I promise you won't be disappointed. If you've listened and still aren't sure, search for Brandi's stunning covers; Burn (Ray Lamontagne), Creep (Radiohead) and Hallelujah!

Tim and Phil Hanseroth used to be in their own Guitar Rock band in Seattle, but when they teamed up with Brandi Carlile something special started. The three of them write the songs together making a solid team. Josh Neumann the 'Cello man' joined them shortly after and brings a depth to the sound the meets the soaring vocals and bristling guitars. Finally the drummer... Allison Miller a new drummer for this tour I believe who seemed to deliver power and sensitivity at the same time... a great contribution.

Where ever you are, if you get a chance to see Brandi Carlile live you will remember it for years.
