Blur return to Dublin with a show at The Irish Museum of Modern Art, Kilmainham, Dublin on Thursday 1st August.
Following their Outstanding Contribution to Music Brit Award of last year, the band debuted two new songs at their sold-out critically acclaimed show at Hyde Park, which closed the London Olympics.
As one of the most influential and creative bands of the last 20 years, Blur have received Grammys, Brits, Ivor Novellos and NME Awards, while their live career has spanned clubs, parks, dog-tracks, theatres, museums and arenas as well as many truly memorable performances at festivals around the world – including a historic Sunday night appearance at Glastonbury in 2009.
More recently the band has released Blur 21, an award-winning complete works box set, as well as a fully immersive, interactive free app, titled Blur: The App. Blur took home the Q Award for Best Live Act in 2012 and their performance of new material, live from a London rooftop last summer, received the coveted Best Use of Twitter Award at the influential Buzz Awards.
Tickets for the Dublin show go on sale on Thursday 7th March 2013 through Ticketmaster, priced at €62.50 each (including fees) and are available from 9:00 AM.
