Tour name: Farewell To Rovin'
Over the years, the Rovers favorite moments have been while they were together touring and performing their tunes which have become "anthems of revelry and joy among generation after generation of fans". Now after nearly 50 years on the road, it's time to say Farewell to Rovin'.
THE CRAIC WILL BE MIGHTY! This final tour will be the biggest yet. Joining the Rovers on tour are multi-instrumentalist Morris Crum from Ireland, whistle/flute player Geoffrey Kelly, and one of Ireland's most outstanding fiddle players, Gerry O'Connor - all who regularly play on Rovers recordings or tours.
The last few years have seen The Irish Rovers return to television, return to the radio airwaves, sell out concert tours, garner rave reviews internationally for their Gracehill Fair, Drunken Sailor, and Home In Ireland and Christmas albums, attract the attention of a new younger audience, and be touted in the press as “internet sensations!” The excitement around the Rovers these days confirms that their music continues to hit a chord with fans of all ages, and even now they’re attracting a younger generation of musicians to their shows. Concert-goers will enjoy the Irish wit and charm that has captivated audiences since 1964 as The Rovers perform a rollicking mix of their hits, new favorites, and signature Jigs and Reels.
