Tour name: TROUBLE WILL FIND ME
Stodoła club is pleased to invite you to the concert of one of the most popular, international indie rock bands - The National. They will play on 9th of June at Park Sowińskiego's Amphitheatre in Warsaw.
The National was founded in 1999 in Cincinnati, Ohio. Currently the band resides in Brooklyn, NY. Lyrics, often referred as "dark and melancholy", are written by the lead singer, Matt Berninger. The rest of the team consists of two pairs of brothers: Aaron (guitar and keyboards) and Bryce Dessner (guitar) and Scott (bass guitar) and Bryan Devendorf (drums).
The band will play in Poland as a part of their tour promoting the sixth, in a 14-year career of the group, album "Trouble Will Find Me". The musicians themselves define the album, as the the most self-assured collection of songs they produced so far. It is also a tribute to fully evolved artistic vision—and, somewhat less mystically, to sleep deprivation.
The first inspiration for new songs was the newborn daughter of guitarist Aaron Dessner. Returning home after touring for 22 mounths, musican admitted that the presence of his baby threw him into a more or less sustained fugue state - “sleepless and up all the time,” as he puts it. Aaron shuffled into the band’s studio (situated in his backyard), where he amused himself writing musical fragments that he then sent over to vocalist Matt Berninger.
