I agree with bigt and deathwarmed over. I was hoping for so much more. Having been elated by hearing Bat For Lashes play an early version of Glass, I was in high spirits.

The mood only really picked up for me when Everything In Its Right Place was played, 15 songs in. I felt that firstly the band weren't enjoying it as there was little to no energy on stage. Secondly, it was nowhere near load enough, I could hear the conversation in front of me and the wanton Thom Yorke impersonators next to me with ease.

It's the first time I've been to a Victoria Park gig outside of Field Day, I doubt I will again. Pity.

On the other hand, I was in owe of the United Visual Artists visuals.

@Michelle - I know exactly what you mean, instant gig gratification can often be worse than not hearing a song that you want to. At the recent Bat For Lashes dates at Shepherds Bush, I noted to a friend that all I wanted to hear was Glass, then I could leave. She opened with it, then for the rest of the concert I felt as if I was waiting just for an encore. Which incidentally was the single version of Daniel – given that she’d played it earlier in the set, it was the first time I’ve ever seen an artist play the same song twice during a gig. Not a showstopper.

Woah, I don't think I've ever seen an artist play the same song twice in a set. Isn't that like cheating? Or is it completely different renditions? I didn't know who did Radiohead's visuals that day, so thanks for adding that info. The lighting was stunning.

Agree with deathwarmedover. Radiohead meets the masses = the chattering classes with my favourite band in the back ground. Watching the swallows fly about was nice though.

got to say i didn't enjoy as much as i would have liked. crowd really irritated me with people incessantly shuffling past, singing along really loudly/badly and a bunch of drunken twats pissing in a bottle and discussing whether they should throw it or not. classy.

the band were on form, but watching them on a screen while surrounded by morons was not the way to see them! good selection on the setlist though, i liked the range of stuff they played. is it too whiney to say that it was almost too slick? sounded almost like the studio recordings sometimes. oh well, i hope i get to see them in a medium or even small venue someday.

Another brilliant Radiohead show, saw them earlier that month in Dublin where they were incredible but seeing as it's Radiohead it gets 5 stars too. Crowd were a little annoying but not enough to ruin the show at all. Radiohead might be the only band I've seen outdoors with perfect sound and their light show is the best I've ever seen. If I had to say one bad thing about the show it would be them opening with "Reckoner" as it's one of my fav songs and wouldn't have minded waiting for it. Highlights: 2+2=5, No Surprises and Myxomatosis.

Yeah, I hate when a band opens with my favorite song! It's like, "Oh, OK... Where can you go from there?"

It's great to see them in an outdoor venue.
