Indeed better than The Troxy show - show at the Forum was excellent. They always make the shows fun with banter from Tweedy.

    They definitely played the hits!

Anyone know the name of the song that was playing just before Wilco took the stage last night?

p.s. - What a show, what a show! Best I have every seen them play.

"Play the hits? Where have you been, man. These are the hits!"

"play the hits" > heh yeah, that was great :)

I saw Wilco deliver a jawdropping set at the Forum last night.

More electric than ever before with sonic soundscapes that rivalled the chord at the end of A Day In The Life.

How many bands can get a sold out audience to sing a complete song (Jesus etc.)that has probably never been played on UK radio, yet alone become a hit.

And the final solo spot with Jeff Tweedy singing "Someone Else's Song" minus the band when the power was turned off and it was just voice and guitar in a totally silent venue was just the best.

When we start the poll for the best band of the last decade, I know who I will be voting for!

that was my first wilco gig. and how amazing it was! they did look like they were enjoying themselves.

the crowd karaoke during Jesus etc was just for the best, if he was singing the whole thing I might have cried or something :)

I've seen Wilco eight times, and that was probably the best of all. They really looked to be enjoying themselves, and the acoustic Someone Else's Song at the end? Great! I'm going to post what I remember of the setlist, can anyone else edit/update it?

Did you see them at the Troxy a few months ago? Was it better than that? You guys are making me wish I caught them again!

Subjectively, I thought it was better, for two reasons. Firstly, I was down the front. At the Troxy, I was right at the very back, upstairs. Couldn't hear any of Jeff's banter, felt like watching a DVD. And secondly, I'd seen a couple of shows already on that summer tour, and they were playing a fairly similar set (open with Wilco The Song followed by IATTBYH, finish with ITMWLY). The Forum was good for me because I was down the front, and they mixed things up a little more. But if I'd been down the front at the Troxy, and I hadn't seen them for a while, I would have thought it was a great show.

I've paid 50 euros (Portugal) and NZ$75 to see them recently (that's for one ticket, not including booking fee). So £33 each sounds...excessive but not ridiculous.

    talk about daylight robbery

£66 for two tickets w/postage and booking fee

i know wilco don't like playing here in the uk, but c'mon guys! this is ridiculous.
