Jazzamboka is the coming together of ‘jazz’ and ‘yamboka’, meaning village or country in the Congolese language of Lingala. Incorporating a variety of traditional and ancestral musical instruments, namely thelokolé and the ngoma into the band’s core instrumentation helpscreates Jazzamboka’s unique, signature sound.
