"it wasn't as good as the Lexington show but still really intense if you stood right infront. And I think Sylvia was brilliant! And Two, And Epilogue... givin it 4 stars :)"

"It wasn't the best I've seen them- sound was a bit muddy (par for the course at Bush Hall, even though I like the place) and the band looked knackered. I adored Epilogue, but apart from that I was unmoved emotionally- even Sylvia seemed too rushed to really connect. Still great, but I think they'll be miles better at Union Chapel."

"I felt that way too! And I thought I was so alone, hearing the chorus of "That was so amazing" after the gig ended. I was really underwhelmed by the performance. The album is truly special: it expresses some emotions that really rare to get right in song, and he does it beautifully, hauntingly as you say. But live, I felt totally disconnected from the experience. He just dove right in and didn't build up the emotional connection with the audience to take them through those feelings. It's not to say he didn't "perform," but I didn't feel that the live experience augmented my understanding of the music in any way. The musical tropes felt repetitive rather than resonant. Bush Hall is gorgeous, but I felt like I trekked all the way across town only to be let down."

"I have been listening to the album for some time, great haunting music, and lovely themed repetitions. Was it just me, or does this not work live? Also felt that the emotional stuff came out to early and the singer dude didn't connect with the crowd. Repartee is important I think.
Anyway, nice enough and the venue is pretty much the best around."
