   Overall, awesome gig to have been at. So happy I got a spare ticket at the last minute. It was HOT in there.

   The Good:
   Seeing new songs, the crowd weren't totally into them but it was awesome to get a preview of Contra before most people. The debut album tracks went down a treat and it was awesome fun throughout. Doubt I'll ever see them in such a small venue ever again.

   The Bad:
   There were more than a few popped collars being dicks and shoving people around for no reason whilst singing along badly. Was also saddened by Jeremy Warmsley's (Acres, Acres) unfortunate cock-up in the last song which made him abort the song twice and leave the stage in a huff... there are more graceful ways to handle that kind of thing ;(

   But even with those negative points I was completely buzzed, and most of the crowd were really good-natured. So overall definitely a night to remember.

   SUPERB gig. VW are totally worth watching multiple times - totally worth the hype. I couldn't stop smiling the whole night, I was so excited!

   and really enjoyed the Acres too. Felt bad when the Acres last song had to be re-started due to the piano wire not working though.
