Desolation Wilderness at The Social (London) with Victoria and Jacob, Raygraphs, and Rayographs
ILL FIT
The Line Of Best Fit online-zine and demure London label Something In Construction join forces once more for the return of their club night: "ILL FIT". The colossal hangovers after the success of last month's star studded launch party are still detectable, the November lineup is ready.
Opening the night is London boy/girl duo VICTORIA & JACOB who, according to NME sound like "a drunk Joanna Newsom lisping nursery rhymes over the sound of an evil merry-go-round" - we say, if you dig The Postal Service, you may have just found your new favourite band.
The ghost of Sleater-Kinney and early PJ Harvey is alive and well in Stereogum hyped all girl London trio RAYOGRAPHS: "demure elegance in a sea of grubby punks" NME.
The main event is an appearance from Olympia, Washington's DESOLATION WILDERNESS (K records). Having just completed an extensive tour of Europe, the massive massive massive narcotic hazy wonderment of latest album "New Universe" will be washing over The Social like a hot, steamy bath. + ILL FIT DJs.
FREE ENTRY, FREE CD's, FREE THINKING. Do not miss.
