"I'm not sure, let's wait till a few more people who were there add it to their gigographies! Did Talib Kweli join him for Know That? That was my favourite track off Black on Both Sides at that point and I seem to remember that happening."

"Did this gig get moved to the 18th (as listed in the NME review)? Like your ticket stub mine says it took place on the 15th? Anyway, yes it was a fantastic performance Talib Kweli's appearance made it even better. Though I remember the sound being a bit dodgy in places. "

I'd been a huge Mos Def fan leading up to this gig. Medina Green, Black Star, Black on Both Sides - I'd literally bought every single single Mos put out, knew every lyric, totally obsessed. Was incredibly hyped, trying not to get my hopes up too much & failing dismally.

Fortunately it was one of those gigs that just fucking delivered. Mos hit the stage solo. Big stage, zero props, no fancy backing screens, just one man and a mic. He delivered an incredibly focused set and ripped the hell out of Shepherds Bush. Electrifying.
