Oh I forgot one other thing. We also did a mexican wave with mobile phones. It sounded like it might be a bit of a gimick, but it actually looked fab.

After a bumpy start to my night, Coldplay made me smile from ear to ear. We missed all the support acts, but made it pretty close to the front for the start of Coldplay's set. The door we entered into unepxectedly took us straight to the front of the crowd. Coming down the steps we were presented with a fab scene, Wembley pretty much full (even the stupid corpoarate ring!) and in extremely high sprits.

Massive production and thought went into this event reminiscent of a U2 pop or Zoo TV tour. Coldplay all played their hearts out. Instead of just blasting out their songs, they made it a night to remember, punctuating it with unexpected surprises.

Chris Martin put all of his energy and soul for the evening into his performance, interacting with the crowd at every opportunity and surprisingly even making us laugh at times. We had singing, in a faked up X Factor audition with a taped recording of Simon Cowell critiquing our performance, the bouncing in of Jay- Z for Lost and a special guest appearance from Simon Pegg, yes the comedian. He was lucky enough to join them in an acoustic set away from the main stage where Billy Jean was the main feature. A first Simon looked a bit of a wally as he was the only one without an instrument, they didn't even give him a triangle, but then he got to show a bit of his musical talent with a blast on the harmonica.

The only blip of the whole night was a terrible remix of Viva La Vida just before the first encore, but most of the crowd seemed to love it?

All in all it was throughly enjoyable evening, great atmosphere, fab sound, amazing visual display and thankfully I didn't experience any of the rain that Paul22 above mentioned.

    Thankyou Coldplay!
