Brilliant gig. Deerhoof were excellent. I missed Rumspringa but managed to see Anabel's Poppy Day, and really liked them. At the start I was baffled by them, but the singer just managed to win me over the more songs I heard. Must check to see if they have any albums.

so much fun, completely topped the previous ULU show. loved all the craziness like the strobing basketball, everyone swapping instruments to play cheesy jazz (esp fun seeing greg soloing on guitar and satomi drumming), mad choreography and general intense energy throughout the set. A+++++++++++

that being said i thought the supports were a bit weak, but whatever (band claimed they'd never heard the one band until the day of the show, lol)

    rumspringa weren't bad or anything, but bands playing with backing tracks irk me... anabel's poppy day were a bit quirky, but just weren't very interesting.
