   I've only recently been introduced to Grizzly Bear by my brother. In the past few months, I bought all their albums and I think Veckatimest is their most complex and timeless album yet. The gig started with 'Southern Point', the opener for Veckatimest. I tried so hard to get up to the front, but the sardines were so tightly packed. Having not seen Grizzly Bear before, I wasn't aware the role divisions in the band. After seeing them play, I got the feeling that although Ed Droste may be the most prominent as a performer, it seems that Daniel Rossen is the musical leader in the way he leads many of the songs.

   I was bummed that they didn't play 'Dory'. It is such a powerful song for me. Their performance of 'Little Brother' from the 'Friend' album gave me goosepimples!

   I thought they had a few rhythmic hiccups here and there, but the vocals and guitar sounds were absolutely amazing.

   Does anyone have spare tickets for the gig at the Barbican in October? Once again, very sold out!!!!
