STILL CORNERS: Still Corners is the musical project of songwriter/ producer Greg Hughes. Taking inspiration from David Lynch and Ennio Morricone soundtracks, horror movies and pop music, Hughes creates an atmospheric and sultry sound. A mixture of organ, guitar, and big drums combined with choir-like vocals. The critically acclaimed debut EP Remember Pepper? was self-released in 2007 and widely regarded as a 60s inspired dream pop gem by the online press. Shortly thereafter Leon Dufficy (guitar) and Luke Jarvis (bass) joined the band. In 2009, the line-up was completed with Paul Mayhew (drums) and Tessa Murray (vocals). With tours in theUK,France,SwedenandGermanybehind them, the band has built a reputation for atmospheric and edgier sounds coupled with captivating visuals for their live shows. This show celebrates the launch of their debut album ‘Creatures of an Hour’ out on Sub Pop later this year.
