Miss Kenichi
Miss Kenichi, born a trucker-kid in a secluded little town in the woods of south-east Germany, makes a kind of parched and dreamy Americana with a husky voice that slips in under your defences.
She has released two records so far, COLLISION TIME in 2006 and FOX in 2008 which were both critically acclaimed.
Her music is full of gloomy atmosphere, somewhat minimalistic, gruff guitar meets hauntingly beautiful voice: "gutsy, powerful and very touching." ( musicnonstop.uk)
