As well as the live music, the festival will feature an array of solar and bicycle powered stages and installations, dozens of interactive workshops geared for all ages, guest speakers, comedy, local theatre, silent disco, and some very special guests for Big Tree juniors. There will also be a wide range of local ales, cider and food on offer, as well as arts and crafts stalls, a communal festival allotment, and even an animatronic polar bear!
There will be a number of holistic treatments, therapies and natural workshops available throughout the weekend, as well as wood fired hot tubs and saunas.
The festival is keen to support the environment so they are introducing a greener way for everyone to travel to and from the festival. There will be a free coach service travelling from key Suffolk and Norfolk destinations, and the festival will be supporting car sharing schemes, pre-ordered tent services, plus a number of other eco-friendly initiatives. Furthermore, the festival plans to allocate a percentage of ticket sales towards localized tree planting schemes, creating orchards for schools, and a long term aim of creating a community woodland and biodiversity project in Suffolk.
Tip of the Pops solar powered wheelbarrow disco will also be popping-up with their unique style of ecotainment. Playing dumped vinyl records on discarded equipment Tip of the Pops is a lot of fun but also a serious statement about our throw away society.
CBeebies' Mr Bloom's Nursery will also be at the Big Tree Festival in Suffolk.
There will also be luxury Bell tent and campervan hire available.
