Vienna Jazz is an internationally renowned jazz festival created in 1981. It lasts about two weeks every year in early summer in Vienna, France.
The main stage of the festival is the ancient theater of Vienna , which can accommodate over 7,000 people. Many jazz musicians have performed there: Miles Davis , Stan Getz , Claude Challe , Michel Petrucciani , Ella Fitzgerald , Sonny Rollins , Lionel Hampton , Dee Dee Bridgewater , Chuck Berry , Ike Turner and many others.
Many evenings are open to music "cousins" of jazz evenings funk, blues, gospel, Brazilian, Cuban, Gypsy.
