Songkick FAQ
-
How do you get your upcoming listings?
We index 29 different ticket vendors in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, and also index 9 local newspaper sites. If we’re missing events listed on your favorite local ticket vendor, let us know and we’ll look into it. We also love it when you guys add events yourselves!

How do I add events to Songkick?
You can add a concert or festival by logging into your account and clicking on “+Add event,” which is at the top right of all pages. If there are glaring omissions, please let us know by emailing support@songkick.com.

How do I add an event to my gigography?
Search for your past event by using our site search. You can search by artist name, venue name, date, and even city! When you find your event, click “I was there.” This will add the event to your gigography..
Another way to find your past gig is to go to the gigography for the artist or venue, which you can get to by clicking on “See all past concerts” on their page. The gigography will let you view past concerts by artist name, venue name, and city. You can filter for a date range, too.
-
How do I remove an event from my gigography?
Just click on “I was there” once more. The green check mark on the button should go away, and the event has been removed from your gigography.
-
There’s something wrong with a concert or festival, how do I edit it?
Click “Edit concert” or “Edit festival” on the event page. You can fix any information that’s incorrect, including artists on the line-up, date, and venue. The edit page will also let you delete an event if it was created in error, but be careful! Please don’t delete anything unless you’re 100% sure it’s wrong.
If an event is cancelled, you can select the checkbox for “This concert has been cancelled.” For everyone who said they’re going or might go, their upcoming events calendar will notify them that the concert has been cancelled.

What’s up with multiple entries for this concert, festival, artist, or venue? I’m confused!
Messy duplicates make our OCD skin crawl, too! We get our information by indexing thousands of different websites for tour dates. These websites may refer to the artist, venue, or festival by slightly different names, creating separate entries in our database. We are undergoing a huge clean-up project and are setting up a system to make it easy to clean up these duplicate listings and prevent future duplicates from being added.
If you spot a duplicate, please let us know, and we’ll do what we can to clean it up.

There are two artists with the same name. How do I know which one is which?
Currently, there's no way to differentiate between two artists with the same name; artist disambiguation is a problem we hope to deal with in the future. In the meantime, the two artists will have to share the same artist page.

Why can’t I add a concert for The Fall, Bats, or some other really cool bands?
We had to block new events for these artists because we get most of our upcoming listings by indexing ticket vendor feeds. Our parser tries to “read” these ticket vendor websites, and if an artist name is a commonly used word or also the name of a musical or a play, the import process will add new events for these artists, so an event called “Fall Football Extravaganza” may be added as a new Fall concert, or a musical “Babes in Toyland” will be added as a new gig for the band. We had to block new events for these artist names to prevent non-live-music events from being added.
We know this is not an ideal solution! We are huge Fall fans and it makes us sick to our stomach that we don’t have a gigography for them yet. We will find a solution and let you know when you can add all their events to Songkick.
