Born in Barcelona, Spain, Irene Bauzá (IreneB) was introduced to the world of r&b/soul music at the tender age of 6. She was raised listening to R&B music such as Bobby Brown, Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston, just to name a few, that inspired her to pursue her own career as a singer/songwriter. At the age of 18 she started studying music at the Aula de Música Moderna y Jazz del Liceo where she studied the art of music for 7 years, while keeping her agenda busy both live and in the studio. IreneB has since then been blessed with eight years of touring in venues such as the Razzmatazz, Jazz Room and Vic Jazz Festival with an array of jazz, blues, and R&B music. In 2005, her first independent release entitled Mi Realidad proved to be a breakthrough record in Spain. But IreneB's achievements didn't stay in her home country, between 2005 and 2006 she was crowned one of the most independent podcasted artists in the world and captured a very faithful audience in the indie R&B scene worldwide. In 2006, due to the success of the Mi Realidad release, IreneB was introduced to the idea of Platinum producer Frankie Biggz, and after several conversations, the introduction became reality when the two finally met for the first time to record. After two years of constantly traveling between Spain and the US for hardcore recording sessions with Mr. Biggz she has just established her residence in Orlando, FL. “Metamorphosis” (her first English record) hit the stores on February 3rd, this album turned IreneB into the first Spaniard ever to release a complete English R&B album worldwide. So far, her first single "Forgive Me Now" was added to more than 100 radio stations worldwide (Japan, USA, UK, Spain, Cyprus, Finland, etc.) and remained #1 at the independent UK radio charts for more than 10 weeks. The single was also remixed by the famous DJ/Producer Aaron-Carl, that took the R&B tune and transformed it into a club banger. Her second single, “Are You The One For Me?”, produced by Trey Mills (Michael Jackson, Boyz II Men, Brian Mcknight, etc.) has reached #1 as well in it’s first week of release. During the next months IreneB is going to be performing worldwide, with the help of people like Celina Rollon, former director of Marketing for Sony/BMG UK for artists like John Legend, Destiny’s Child or Shakira and tour manager of artists like Gabrielle or The X Factor.
