   "I was at Abbotsfield Park 'backstage' because friends of mine, Johnny Martin and The Tremors were on bof the supporting bands. The Fab Four arrived in the back of a school dinners wagon wearing their grey collarless suits. My friend and I were called over by them whilst they were in their 'dressing tent' but I got bad vibes from John Lennon and we kept our distance.
   Sadly I didn't have a camera with me and I really should have got their autographs (oh the wisdom of hindsight).
   I spoke to Brian Epstein and watched the show standing to one side of Ringo... photos anyone?
   The PA broke down but it didn't matter as the crowd were screaming so much you wouldn't have heard them anyway. It ended up like a field hospital backstage as girls were getting crushed at the front and were lifted out to safety. It's a wonder nobody was badly injured in a potentially very serious situation. What an experience!"
