  9. MilkLizard82 reviewed Ladytron at The Faversham (28 May 05). 2 months ago

"Very small, rather battered old student pub in Leeds was great for my first Ladytron live experience. Bumped into them in the carpark before the show and they were very nice. Remember thinking it was awesomely loud!"

  10. MilkLizard82 reviewed Jimmy Chamberlin Complex at Islington Bar (24 Aug 05). 2 months ago

"It was half empty in the tiny Bar Academy Islington but it didn't matter as it simply added to the intimate nature of the gig. The people who were there were really into it. My drummer and I stood at the side of the stage (behind the PA!) and (as huge Pumpkins fans) were absolutely spellbound with Jimmy's playing the entire night. I remember thinking that the support band weren't all that great (the drummer and the drum sound in particular were really weak but the Jimmy came out, played the same kit and made it sing! We were also very impressed with Billy Mohler and Sean Woolstenhulme, neither of whom we'd heard of before. We were hearing most of the songs for the first time as well. Jimmy chatted to fans afterwards as they were leaving too which was an added bonus."
