Lovely venue, I imagine, when it's not sold out. Going by my experience for the Oceansize gig, the place's capacity is set too high. Being 6'4" I thought I be gentlemanly and stand as close to the back as possible, which meant essentially by the exit. However with the tight fit this meant that people trying to get out for a fag or to the toilets were squeezing through our section like wet drawers through a mangle.

Frustrating for all concerned when you are trying to watch a band. At least twenty people had to make do with watching it on CCTV feed in the back bar, which reduces the 'live experience' somewhat. Also being near the back the chatter and enthused blokes singing along were actually much louder than the band so 30 minutes in, I cut my losses and cleared off back to Waterloo.

Not the venues fault of course, but to compound the evening, trains were delayed half an hour making my leaving early and running to the station seem rather futile.

However, I'll give the place three because it clearly is a great small venue, but to warrant fours and fives, you need to provide the same level of comfort for everyone (seeing as well as paid the same to get in).

Seeing as we all paid the same to get in, that should be.
