Paradiso is an arts and culture centre; an old rennovated church now used as a music venue, located at Weteringschans 6-8. The interior is beautifully ornate, with high vaulted ceilings, huge stained glass windows and a balcony. As with most church venues, the acoustics are typically echoey, which suits acoustic acts particularly well.

The building itself was constructed in 1879 and designed by architect Gerlof Bartholomeus Salm. By the 1960s the church was in disrepair and inhabited by squatters. It was renamed Paradiso in 1968 and quickly became a hip music venue. The 1500 capac…
