The Bowery Ballroom is a world famous music venue located on 6 Delancey St in SoHo, directly opposite Bowery Station. Built in 1929, just before the Wall Street Crash, the 550 capacity venue lay unused until after the Second World War, when it became a retail store. The neighborhood fell into decline and it wasn't until 1997 that the building was transformed into a music venue. The venue now welcomes an eclectic mix of high quality performing artists to its stage.
