The HMV Forum started life in 1934 as an Art Deco theatre, then known as The London Forum. Located in North London, it is easily accessible by tube-just two minutes walk from Kentish Town Underground station. There is a large standing space downstairs and unreserved seating on the upstairs balcony.

After a £1.5million refurbishment in 2007, the venue now boasts an increased capacity of 2350 in total, as well as a new bar, new sound system and lighting rig. The venue hosts concerts during most nights throughout the year.

Big big big big. I think I perhaps need to accept that I can't ALWAYS see the bands I like in tiny venues, and that sometimes you just have to go to a big venue. The Forum is nice and easy to get to, only a couple of minutes from the tube. It's pretty weird for photography, they made me shoot from a little balcony area by the side of the stage. After shooting I sat upstairs and had a good view and the sound was pretty good. I'm sure if you were downstairs near the front the show might have felt a bit smaller and more intimate. As far as big venues go, it's not that bad. But, I'm less likely to go to a show if it's at The Forum than if it was somewhere smaller.
