The Barfly is a small live music venue located on Chalk Farm Road in Camden. It is one of a chain of clubs across the UK operating under the 'Barfly' banner. There are two floors, with most live music being held upstairs. There are bars on both floors, most shows are 18+.

The Barfly started its life in Camden at The Falcon Pub in 1996, before moving to The Monarch in 2000. Due to the success of this original Barfly, more venues were opened up across the country.     it's a hot black box, it's small, but they have had lots of amazing bands play in here. the sound and projectors etc are all quite good. not my favourite, but there are good times to be had here.

    While I wouldn't call the Barfly the creame-sicle of venues - if venues were popsicles - it does boast two of the most important features: it's not to big, and the PA is rich. Also, nice gigs.

    Hmm I think those comments are a tad harsh - kind of depends on your idea of a good gig venue - if you like 'em hot sweaty and intimate then this is the venue for you...and if you're a fan of getting up close and personal with the band make sure you get there early as you can get veeery close at the front :)

    Not much of a fan of this venue, it seems to be lacking any personality or character and is just a bit boring. It's not very big, perhaps can fit only a couple of hundred people.
