Live reviews
If there is one band you HAVE to see this year Urban Heat IS the one. Their energy, style and the seriousness with which they make music can take a crowd completely unaware and by the end of their set have everyone on their feet and ready for more. This is a band for the ages, all ages. Combining synth, goth, punk, emo and elements reminiscent of those scenes in the 70's-90's, Urban Heat captures the memories of older generations with vibrancy and relevance for new generations. Urban Heat is soon to become the next IT band in music. After all, "if you're dancing at the end of the world, is the world really ending or is it just the beginning"?
I've seen Urban Heat live twice this year. Both concerts were driven by my fandom of the bands they were touring with––Twin Tribes and WINGTIPS.
That being said, both shows were fantastic! They sound amazing live, Jonathan has edged into my favorite voices list. On top of that, this is an athletic performance! It's amazing how he sings with so much energy while doing the equivalent of a kickboxing workout during the show. They have fun on the stage and interact with the audience so the experience is extra engaging.
Can't wait to see them next time they're in town.
