The Subdudes have been a band for over twenty-five years, amassing a huge following and releasing eleven studio albums throughout their career. Their set tonight is more of a celebration of their whole career to date playing various singles from their roots rock catalogue.
Tommy Malone is a charismatic front man behind his sunglasses with quite a rasp to his voice, boasting some fantastically executed tenor notes. One of the things that is fantastic about this band is that everyone has a microphone, and with a few singers, comes a few harmonies, that lock in place throughout, making some beautiful sounds. A real highlight for me is when they perform “All the Time in the World” which receives such a great reaction from the crowd who dance the night away to this fantastic alternative folk rock music that is coming from the stage. “Carved in Stone” closes proceedings in great style with much swagger and flair attached to them. It’s truly wonderful to see that they are still so passionate about what they do.

the Subdudes were great, we drove from Houston to Gruene for the show and it was well worth it. This was only the 2nd time I've seen them and I was once again amazed by their harmonies and songwriting, just loved it, hope I get the chance to see them again!
Love the "Dudes" however these ads say the Subdudes. Tommy and ? are not with this venue. They are now called "Blues Circus". Steve A. and John M are there yes and we do enjoy them for sure but no Tommy = not the Subdudes imo.!
