  • Saw LSD recently in Charlotte. And was a fan via CD’s and Pandora. But live in a venue with 2,000 + standing was another dimension of supreme enjoyment. Not fair to single out any one performance or accolade, but suffice to say these musicians are in a limited league of peers. If they accidentally appear in your ‘hood, do whatever is necessary to observe. It will restore your faith in raw (albeit studied) and exciting talent.

  • Lake Street Dive played last night in Clearwater, FL at the Capital Theater. The opening act was Mikaela Davis and Southern Star. They were very good, better than expected from an opening act. She's a beautiful young lady with a beautiful voice, playing a beautiful harp.

Lake Street Dive played for about an hour and a half and they were outstanding, great, phenomenal, and any other accolades you can come up with. Rachel tore it up. Her vocals are unbelievable. Her moves are so sexy and cool.

Mike Calabrese, on drums, had outrageous solo towards the end that lasted at least 5 minutes. The new guy on keyboards, Akie Bermiss, also sang "Still the One", his version of the Shania Twain hit. It was amazing.

There is so much talent in this band, with a pretty good light show too. If you have the chance to see them, do not pass it up, you will be missing out on a great experience.

  • What can I say that would do justice to the performance last night or to Lake Street Drive as a band. They are ridiculously good at performing live and never fail to blow me away. The venue was awesome and only made their performance that much better. The power, the versatility, the funk factor is high with Lake Street Dive and I count myself fortunate to have been there to see/hear it.

So thank you Songkick for the getting us there. Definitely one for the permanent memory bank!
