Texas born, Louisiana raised Marcia Ball has combined her upbringing and transferred it to her music. The piano-playing vocalist has been taking the world by storm with her original stomp rock swamp blues sounds. Ball's piano style includes elements of zydeco, swamp blues, Louisiana blues and boogie woogie
Watching her live sets, she is quite possibly one of the classiest looking ladies I’ve seen take a stage, but don’t let the lady look fool you because she can rock out, and blow you away. With a full rock band backing her, she is front in center with her microphone and keyboard. There are only a few songs where she is not playing the keys, and for those she’s got the mic in hand and is moving and dancing, just like everyone else in the audience. Between songs, she takes the time to introduce her band members, and it is really clear how long they have been playing together based on how well they mesh together. Her personality is super sweet, and wholesome, just like the well-known Southern hospitality. The whole show is a feel good time and everyone, and I mean EVERYONE has the best time dancing and singing along to the bluesy sounds of Marcia Ball.
