What do you get when you combine: Reggae, Dub and Indie. Most would say heaven, I tell you John Brown's Body!
Finding this band by pure accident as I was doing a history project and typed the name in, as it was meant to lead me to a song popular during the American Civil war, I was pleasantly surprised when I came across the band instead. They are just such an easy band to listen to, their sound is, what you would get it if Bob Marley made music in the late 2000's yes they are just that good!
They sang their song 'Make It easy' the audience melted for them, it is not hard to see why as the soft reggae vocals, rippled off the microphones and into our heads. Many knew the words to their songs, showing just how dedicated their fan base is, there was not a single song that at least half the audience did not know the words to. People were swaying their bodies like palm trees in the gentle island breeze as they relaxed to the sounds of John Brown's body!
All need to come to a show and experience, what I can only describe as peace within a steel pan. As these eight talented individuals come together and bring you, the people together!
You won't find a sound like these guys anywhere else. From the heavy drum and bass to the great melodies of the lyrics, and we can't forget the amazing brass section! You may like their cd's and recorded stuff but I guarantee once you see them live it's like a completely different vibe, and what an amazing one! Show was great, never disappoints
