See all your opportunities to see them live below!Leigh Nash opens the Sixpence None The Richer concert with her throaty vocals and upbeat tempo. Her unassuming and simple southern clothing remind me of Tv shows about the 50's.
Her demure dress is accented by her guarded posture as the softly croons in falsetto accompanied by guitars. At the end of the first song she shyly thanks the audience and I am amazed this is the same woman who has been performing for almost 20 years. Her sweetness lends an air of contemplation and purity to the songs they are performing.
If it can be believed, Sixpence None The Richer are more innocent live. Matt and Justin play with finesse and passion but somehow it seems pure and lilting instead of harsh and demanding of attention. Songs in the set seem to flow together with small comments from Leigh interrupting the smooth refrains. As the set progresses and the band begins to play “Don't Dream It's Over,” Leighs voice gets huskier but her actions and appearance stay pure.
The result is a strikingly lamentable ballad that has me swaying place and appreciating the beauty of the bands synergy. When the band is finished each member says a simple thank you and retreats with grace, demure grace and humility is shown in every aspect of the show, yet I am incredibly impressed.
