Treasure Fingers’ upbeat house sound could fit any scene from a Miami beach party to an exclusive lower east side boiler room to a European superclub to high end fashion runway shows. It’s glitzy and elegant and the perfect soundtrack to get excessive and lose control to in this style-conscious epoch.
His pumping beats are a driving force for a night of sweaty gyrating. For the more attentive ear there are infectious funk hooks and throwback samples to soul and R’n’B from a bygone era. There are tasty titbits of Latino and African pop and musical traditions stretching so far as Indochina that make for an exotic sound to jive to.
He’s made his name as a superior mixologist for some highly-regarded names in the dance scene. He’s reworked tracks from Kid Kudi, Miami Horror, Groove Armada, Chromeo and Foster the People, giving them a hard-pumping edge.
He’s on the killer Brooklyn dance label Fool’s Gold, which has put out the likes of A-Trak, Duck Sauce, Kavinsky and The Cool Kids. With that kind of backing, he’s definitely one to catch on the circuit.
