Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductees The Guess Who have been working the circuit for over forty years apart from a brief hiatus in the mid 70s. When a band has achieved both commercial success and global notoriety, some may question the intentions as to why they continue to tour in their ever increasing age. You only have to listen to the cheers and bellows as the band steps onto stage to understand why they keep going night after night for their loyal fanbase.
The band warmly greets the fans as they step on to the introduction of 'Bus Rider' as the crowd have already begun to jump in excited anticipation. The instrumentals sound crystal clear this evening, a credit to the high technical specifications of the venue as this means favourites such as 'American Woman' are delivered in all their blues rock goodness. The group has carefully thought about the setlist and it feels as though everybody has been catered, specifically with a clever mashup of two fan favourites 'No Sugar Tonight' and 'Mother Nature'. It is clear to everybody present tonight that should circumstance allow it, The Guess Who will still be on the circuit in another ten years.
I was blown away by the Guess Who! After all these years I expected them, like most bands from the past, to just be not that great. Well, I was mistaken. It was so much more energetic and right on key with them it was amazing.
This is the guts that make these guys last so long, now I see why they are touring. There were so many bands back in the day, it was difficult to see them all. "These Eyes", "Clap for the Wolfman", "Hand Me Down World", "No Time", "Star Baby" and "Share the Land" Classics and Singles include "American Woman", "No Sugar Tonight", "Laughing" and "Undun". I enjoy a rocking show with bands that love what they do and show it. The band was inducted into The Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1987. I guarantee a great show if you see them, you can tell they love what they do, and want you to enjoy it too! Derek Sharp now the lead singer was just mind blowing his voice is clear as a bell. I had to look up a few things as the band had changed over the years. Fun and interactive with the audience. It was a good time had by all.
the first time i played guess who was with my grandpa he is dead now. when ever i listen to this band it reminds me from when my grandpa used to tickle my pickle. The band's music is very tight and generally true to the original hits (some variations). They played almost all of The Guess Who's big hits sprinkled with a few lesser know ones and even a new track. All are accomplished musicians with the drummer being the only original.
The lead singer, Derek Sharp, is a phenomenal talent (singer, guitarist, keyboardist). He's got an engaging personality that brings the audience in and too their feet.
All in all, very worthwhile to see as it was a great performance. That's two years in a row I've seen them now and they don't disappoint.

Wonderful rocking show as usual. All the guys really put their heart and soul into their performances. Great crowd engagement as well. I would have loved to have a few more songs as the show was only about an hour and 20 minutes. Also, the sound balance was not quite as good as usual but got better throughout the evening.
We will see them again when we can. They never disappoint.
I have followed The Guess Who since the early 70s. Great band. Great music. That's all we listen to is 70s music.
The 70s had the best bands. To this day the best music. The Guess Who concert we saw in New Castle on August 11 was one of the best concerts I've seen in a long time!!
Thank you guys!!❤️
Awesome concert, greatly entertaining! Loved the inner action between the performers and the audience. Dee was exceptionaly gregarious and was quite the showman his voice was amazing!!! Loved each and everyone of the members of the band...
Great evening reminiscing about my days growing up in Canada when the Guess Who were one of the dominant bands in Canada and the US. Rocked to many of the songs and the new members did an excellent job! And were very entertaining.
