Using his label Le Saoût produced records from La Formule and Break Beat compilations, as well as collaborating with the Swedish band Looptroop. Live reviews
Jean-Christophe Le Saoût better known by his stage name of Wax Tailor is a renowned French trip hop producer and DJ who has crafted a career out of a highly original strain of dance music. He has a self confessed affinity with the genres of hip hop and electro in equal measure so the merger was a pretty natural choice for him.
Fortunately he gained a large following whilst working the underground scene and packed out small clubs and intimate rooms with his hard beats and thumping bass. Now performing on a far larger scale, the tour includes accompanying musicians, vocalists and more to add countless dimensions to his music. The audience cheers and dances beneath the roaming spotlights constantly entertained by what is happening onstage. Wax keeps the show moving along at a great pace and the energy levels are reaching fever pitch as he builds up to a crescendo of 'This Train' and 'Leave It'.
Wax Tailor drops the beats hard with his electronic techno music, I had the pleasure of going to my first electronic concert at a Wax Tailor concert. The concert happened after he dropped his banger album Dusty Rainbow From The Dark.
This album was just pure goodness and hearing it dj-ed live was amazing! All I could remember was his entrance song with EP titled Que Sera / Where My Heart's At coming out with smoke and fog machines, it sent chills all over my body. I loved every second, the beats, the smoke, the lights, the atmosphere of people just looking like they love life.
The crowd is the best part because they are super friendly, love the music, genuine and love to talk about the music between set changes.
I met a friend during one of these concerts and we still talk to this day and go to plenty electronic concerts. So thanks Wax Tailor for giving me a new friend.
Wax Tailor gave an amazing performance! Thank you for all of the guest singers that came out last night as well. Bravo!
Also, the venue carries a great sound for live music. I love the Fonda Theatre!
Very good show in one of my favorite places in London!! Wax Tailor's performance was even more lively than their albums with nice guests. Koko' theatre is just great.
