It may just be the indie kid/ hipster in me, but it seems as though there is a large rise in popularity of indie rock bands, especially coming out of England. Take Young Rebel Set for example: coming out of the North east of England, the band has been gaining underground popularity and is traveling the world to start an army of fans; and the best part about them, is that they have the solid talent to back up their forward movement. The band is comprised of Matthew Chipchase on vocals & acoustic guitar, Luke Evans on drums, Mark Evans on the electric guitar, Andrew Parmley on another electric guitar, and Chris Parmley on bass.
Having had the opportunity to watch their live set, I can honestly say that they deserve all the credit and more, because they put on one heck of a show. When they first take the stage, you feel like it is a little overcrowded, but once they start to play, they have a great flowing chemistry that they feed off each other. There is a high amount of energy, and they are clearly having a great time on the stage. The sounds are very full, and slightly country like, but not so much so that it is country music. A perfect blend of the instruments and personalities.
