Seeing Miike Snow is like going on a spiritual journey. They come out on the stage donning white masks, staying all anonymous and mysterious. Once the music begins, it's a party... an iced-out-jackalope-bunny style party. But really, in all seriousness, I've seen Miike Snow a handful of times and each time was better than the last. On some songs the vocals weren't as strong as others, but what can you do. They have really evolved as a group and are very entertaining to watch. They don't interact with the crowd too often, as these Swedish lads don't have much to say, but their music does the talking.
Their live music sounds very much like their recorded content, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, unless you are looking for something new and improvised. The last time I saw them they did play a decent amount off of their latest album, but I didn't mind. I saw them in a rather small venue (almost like a nightclub) and it was the perfect environment. Dancey, dark and upbeat. I never miss an opportunity to see Miike Snow in concert because I know it will be a good time. Do yourself a favor and catch them before it's too late!
Miike Snow plays a great show. Going in to it, I didn't have great expectations, as many bands can sound much different and/or worse when playing live. Miike Snow, however, had fantastic energy and stage presence and really made the audience feel like they were part of the action. The band sounded great as well as were exciting to watch and I would definitely pay to see them again. They had a guest vocalist onstage to play a song with them, so I think it would be fair to expect them to invite someone special onstage to play along with them. They also ended the show with an epic, full band drum arrangement, so I'd say that could be expected as well. I saw them play at a music festival and they were great, and I can only imagine they would be even better playing at their own venue. They also had a good set list and I think did a good job at dispersing their more exciting songs and their more mellow songs throughout the show. They even played "Animal," which to me is an old and overheard song by now, but hearing them play it live it felt fresh again and I enjoyed the song as if it were new again.
Great show! Great atmosphere and great drinks! Got to meet the band afterwards! Played songs from the new album and balanced the show with awesome songs from previous albums. Would recommend anyone to go....you'll be a fan afterwards.
Great live performance that kept the crowd pumped and jumping. Grateful to the Ogden Twilight Concert series for bringing this awesome band to Utah. Would definitely do again. 5 stars.
Soooooooo goooooood! Miike Snow rocked the house at the sold out Roseland Theater in Portland Oregon. The packed house danced and sang along as Miike Snow put on a hell of a show.
Sound wasn't great; main vocal too quiet, rest not balanced well. Miike Snow music is still phenomenal, just too bad the love experience wasn't up to par. Btw perfect size venue.
So much fun, the group was playin with heat. All time favorite show so far!!!!!!! Meant alot to see them, hope they come back! Mad love to all the group members, truly a blast!
love this band even more after their concert. they danced and we danced and sang along, it was a wonderful experience. they played new and old songs and had a few jam sessions.
Great Show. The opening band Lewis Del Mar was excellent. Andrew's voice sounded great, which in this altitude and in the middle of a tour was impressive. Come back soon!
Very cool Show. I was very impressed by the Show they made. The most impressive Thing was the acoustic Starts by a few of the songs. It was definitely worth to visit! :)
