Recent tour reviews

Became a fan on the Edge of Thorns album and saw them live and was blown f-ing away. Ended up seeing them 3 times on Edge tour before Criss Olivia was killed and have to say Andy James is by far the best live drummer I have every seen in my life. TOTALLY underrated in hard core Savatage fan circles by fans who preferred Doc (who was also great but I never saw live) but Andy was amazing live and all live reviews commented on how tight and groove heavy the band was on the EOT tour and that was all because of Mr James. Of course Criss Olivia was the focal point of the shows because he was just god on guitar, and I can't believe just a few months later he was gone. The rest of the band was good however the standout musicians were by far Criss and Andy.

I saw Savatage twice in the early 90/s and met Jon and Chris Oliva at rock n roll heaven in Toronto,great guys.When Chris was killed my son Ozzy and I were pissed.My son is going to Wacken for the third time in 4 years and so glad that Savatage is there.He will be wearing his Chris Oliva tribute shirt for the show,he's just getting ready now to fly from Toroto.Long live Savatage from Canada.Cheers.
