Of course there is a band in the world called “The Band”. I mean, someone had to do it right? These Canadian folk rockers launch into their high octane set run by the energy from a steam engine, but fair enough. These guys have been doing this since the 60’s and they’re still doing it today so take note everybody! Tonight is one of those atmospheres where there just aren’t very many people here today who came to this performance not to drink, and it’s fantastic fun! Opening their set with “Strawberry Wine” taken from their album “Stage Fright” album, which is followed very coherently by the title track from that album. Everything is very fast paced, the dancing the beats the drinking and the music. Definitely a drinking band is The Band. Lets not ever forget thought that this band are The Band, The Band that backed Bob Dylan when he played live shows. It is great to see them drop in a few of Dylan’s biggest songs this evening, inspiring nostalgic sing alongs for everyone in this audience.
