The Trey Anastasio Band take to the stage today in Toronto to deliver a batch of blues jazz, and soul to this audience tonight who are dancing from start to finish for this fantastic musicality that just makes you move without knowing it. Theses songs are full of soul and the band around Anastasio are the components that add enough to bring these songs to life. There is always something in every song that gets at least everyone in the room singing along loud and proud. His band is completed by the sound of a clavichord and Hammond organist, a horn section a drummer Anastasio himself on the guitar, and a handful of backing singers with the most amazing voices. There is a point in the song “First Tube” that the singers a bouncing some riffs off of each other. Making the atmosphere euphoric in adoration of these virtuosic musicians there are some significant highlights such as “Frost” and “Clint Eastwood”
What an incredible show at an great venue! The entire band was on fire all night. Definitely a treat seeing the band at such an intimate venue. As a guitarist myself, it was a such a treat watching Trey running his fingers all over the fretboard and having a party up there with his bandmates. Don't miss the opportunity to see TAB on this run. Just magical!
