  • For someone who has literally only heard half of one song and who was at the show/Melbourne for a family gath - I loved it! The Forum was a fantastic venue and the band was great - especially the potbellied dude in white... very entertaining haha. I was dragged to the very front by some random groupie and I literally danced the night away - my boys were like “mum, the whole point of coming to Melbourne was to see FFD and you weren’t even with us”. My son was slightly disappointed they didn’t play their more ‘upbeat’ music, but in light of the fact we were at the last of their three shows, on the weekend of the tragic NZ shootings by that despicable Australian, I think it was understandable. But... nevertheless - I’d see them again... if only I knew they were playing at WOMAD the weekend before, I could’ve saved an airfare lol!

  • I'm really not a fan of the Brixton Academy - been to too many oversold gigs, and the sound is patchy - but I made an exception for Fat Freddy's Drop because they always blow the roof off. Their show has matured over the years and what was a dub/reggae slow form jam is now a punchy house oriented groove fest with a tight horn section and energy in spades. Live, they're a fun band, you can soak up the atmosphere in the room and leave feeling very happy indeed. So grateful that they tour to the UK regularly, next year I'll make an effort to see them outside of London.

  • What a concert!!! We've seen them before so expectations were high, very high! We brought a FFD novice, never heard them before, but a regular concert and party guest. She said that she had never been to such a FANTASTIC concert/party, and I fully agree. My feet are sore, my arms are sore, from dancing, hopping, clapping through the whole concert ... me, I'm 55 years old, but I felt like 25, now as 80, but if I could get a ticket for the next concert I would be 25 again, dancing, hopping, clapping through the whole concert, again.

    The best live band ever!!!
