Motopony is the brainchild of graphic artist Daniel Blue, and while people came and went, Andrew Butles, Nate Daley, and Terry Matson stuck by to form the very unique music out of Tacoma, Washington. Their music is a drawing from the natural and from within, and it is so clear how human their music is; art at its best form, if you will.
Walking into one of their shows, you immediately understand the atmosphere. It is very relaxed and artistic, a very open place to feel acceptance. The band comes on stage, grabs their instruments and start playing, and immediately you get what they are trying to get across to you: that art is something that lives and breathes. It is both calming, yet stimulating. Every so often, Daniel Blue will speak, sometimes to say thank you for the support, other times to introduce the songs. There is also a bit of speaking from each member between them, almost like you are viewing an intimate jam session more than an actual show. Their music, especially live, surrounds you and engulfs you, making you feel so at ease with the world. An absolutely wonderful experience for so many of your senses.
