As someone who is more than capable of mixing and producing music in the genres of techno, trance, house and electronic dance, Ummet Ozcan is your full package, versatile DJ. Half Turkish and half Dutch, Ozcan has been on the scene for a while and has worked with some big names, including Sander Van Doorn (under his own label Doorn records) and also Armin van Buuren. The 32-year-old performed at great set a few years ago at the Luminosity Beach Festival in June 2012 whilst sharing the stage with fellow performer Bart Claessen. The great thing about Ozcan's set that day which a lot of other DJ's fail to do on a regular basis is both mix and play their own tunes. The tunes 'Reboot', 'The Box' and 'Flatline' were some of his classics and he justly had his own set of dance moves for all of the songs. The man seems to make each track flow effortlessly into one another and can build up songs better than most other DJ's on the scene with smoke machines to accompany him whenever the tune drops.
Another thing about Ozcan during this set was his willingness to experiment with the different controls at his disposal. He will often change up the volume in a split second in order for another bass, drum or synth to be the main instrument on the track. For this reason and many others, Ummet Ozcan was a unanimous success on that particular day which was over two years ago... and he has grown much more as a DJ since.
Another export of the Netherlands into the world of dance music, Turkish born producer Ummet Ozcan has already had opportunity to rub shoulders with dance aficionados such as Calvin Harris and Tiesto. He has been releasing singles since 2012 and almost every track has charted well in his homeland as well as the likes of the UK and France.
He has yet to release a debut album yet this does not affect his setlist which keeps the whole crowd moving all evening. It is pretty difficult to see in the large room yet Ummet's hands do not stop moving the whole time in order to keep the consistency of the mixes to an exceptionally high level. He never seems content to just drop a track and let it play out, he is constantly experimenting and developing his own work and mixing it into some of the hottest dance tracks of the current day. This is assured to have the audience in hysteria and the vibes remain high all night long for this massive electro house party.
