When I heard the Fiery Furnaces were coming around on tour, I knew I had to get tickets. They were coming around to promote Remember, which is a huge album, consisted of 50 some odd live songs. I knew the show would be well worth it with such a collection of material to pull from.
The show started out with a few opening acts, who were all very good in their own right. I will admit I'd never heard of any of them, but that didn't stop me from enjoying their music. Everyone cheered loudly for the main attraction. We'd all been waiting quite a while by then. The performed a fantastic set that I thoroughly enjoyed. All of the songs had a new twist put on them. I felt like I was listening to completely new music much of the time. I was really impressed with the diversity. They made even the oldest songs sound fresh and new.
I'm really hoping they come out with some new music soon. New music equals another tour, and I'd definitely come check them out again. Overall, I was very happy with the show. The singing was spot on, and all of the instruments were played perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a better night.
